What is ISPM 15 Standard?

ISPM 15 - Regulations on thermal treatment and marking of wooden packages

ISPM 15 is based on the International Plant Protection Convention for marking of wood materials of a thickness greater than 6mm, used to ship products between countries, by the producer of the packaging materials.

The packing materials (e.g. pallet, case, wedges etc.) are treated with heat or fumigated with methyl bromide, or the packing materials should contain paper, plastics, and other alternative products with wooden origin (chipboard etc.).

The marking shown at the side is conducted on the material. This marking is also commitment of the party conducting the treatment to the International Plant Protection Union, and the producer is the responsible party therefore.
